MDEQ Permitting
GEI has an extremely high success rate with its Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) application process related to inland lakes and streams, wetland, floodplain, and other permitting and mitigation act requirements. We research and study the effect and necessary action required at the beginning of each project and complete early contacts with the MDEQ while developing our permit justifications and arguments. This MDEQ process must be proactive with initial project design, in order to be successful, and not considered as a last step in the development process. Success in MDEQ permitting is attributed to being proactive, understanding the laws, the process and the requirements of each individual development or project.
